Our History

Dancer’s Closet opened in Westlake as a small part of Alisa’s Dance Academy in 2001 (Yes, in an actual closet!). Soon after, we moved right next door into our Flagship location, and have been serving Westlake and the greater Austin area for nearly 12 years! We are excited that we recently opened our 2nd and 3rd locations, in Lakeway and Round Rock, to better serve our customers and the growing Austin metro area.

We are all dancers and know very well the hard work and sacrifice our customers make for the love of dance! We are fully committed to fulfilling your needs both as a customer and a dancer.

Our Policies

To provide you with the best service and products possible, we employ the following policy…

 

Returns/Exchanges

30 DAY RETURN/EXCHANGE POLICY. 
Under the following Conditions:
1) FINAL SALE. Tights, dance belts, undergarments and like items are considered intimate apparel and cannot be returned or exchanged for health reasons. Hair nets, hairagami's, bun builders, bun covers and make-up products are final sale for health reasons as well.
*Exceptions:: Tights, dance belts, nipple concealers, some undergarment leotards/briefs cannot be returned or exchanged except in cases of defective workmanship. Hair accessories and make up must be unopened or in original packaging and show absolutely no signs of wear or be defective to be considered for return. Such returns will require management approval.
2) RECEIPT must accompany ANY return/exchange.
3) ORIGINAL CONDITION.  All items must be: clean, free of odor, hair, and show absolutely NO signs of wear. All tags must be attached and/or it must include the original undamaged box or packaging.
4) CLEARANCE ITEMS ARE FINAL SALE. These items are marked 20-65% off, are clearly marked with a percentage off on the item, and are sold AS-IS. Any defects or blemishes to the item are considered when priced at clearance. No additional discount will be given. Absolutely No REFUNDS on CLEARANCE items.
5) Returns payments will be given back in the form of payment used for original purchase or can be applied to your account as store credit.
6) Items which do not meet the policy requirements will not be returned or exchanged.

Policy Stand-outs:
RETURNS on regular priced, original condition items are allowed within 30 DAYS!
TIGHTS AND CLEARANCE are always FINAL SALE.

Discounts

1) Preferred Customer Program. Sign up for our DC/PC Program to receive a monthly newsletter with special store incentives, sales and PC Coupon, local studio news, and local dance events.

2) Instructor Discounts. Do you teach dance or fitness? Show us proof of employment from your studio/school to get a discount! Woohoo!!

3) Team/Group Discounts. We love working directly with local studios & schools team members! Any purchase of 5 or more of the same item by a teacher, director or parent qualifies for our Group Discount.  *Requires studio/school director contact & special requirements.

Special Orders

1) Items that are considered “Special Order” are items not currently carried in store. Special Orders will incur a non-refundable up-front deposit of 50% of purchase price plus shipping of $10.

2) All Special Orders are FINAL SALE and cannot be returned or exchanged except in cases of defective workmanship.

1) Product availability varies from store to store. Please contact your desired location for availability and opportunity for item transfers.
