Pointe & Pointe Shoe Fittings
A pointe shoe is worn by dancers en pointe (on the tips of their toes), to appear weightless and graceful. The main parts of the shoe include the shank and box, which support the dancer and allow them to be on their toes. Pointe shoes are sized uniquely to any other types of dance shoes, which is why there are many different styles to accommodate many types of feet.
